Troll 'C' Exhaust Gas Coolers

These exhaust gas cooler skids were designed to cool the exhaust gas from the 'Fire Water Pump Packages' to below 200 Deg C.

The 6 coolers were mounted in banks of three, with each cooler having its own circulating pump, plate heat exchanger and header tank. The water/glycol circuit is cooled via the plate heat exchanger with sea water.

The water glycol circuit had a transducer mounted on the header tank to monitor the level. Each side of the gas cooler was equipped with temperature transducers to monitor the heat rejection.
